Thanks for requesting a tour with us! This part is very important, so please read carefully!

Our Exit Glacier Ice Hiking and Ice Climbing tours are challenging adventures physically!

You don't need to be a marathon runner to have fun on these adventures, but if you aren't used to physical exertion, you might have a very hard time, or worse yet, you might not be able to complete the adventure. Here's the details:

  • We hike up roughly 1400 ft. on a National Park trail for the first hour and a half. The trail is very well maintained, but can be steep in sections. This first hour and a half is almost all uphill.
  • We cover about 3.5 to 4 miles on these trips.
  • You should be comfortable on your feet. We are on trails and a glacier on these trips, so you should be able to walk on uneven terrain.
  • If you're requesting an Ice Climbing trip, you will be climbing vertically on ice walls, using your arms and legs to pull up. Your guide can assist you with the rope on the steepest climbs, but it's more fun if you can do it yourself.
  • We can only slow down the pace of the trip to a certain point. If your guide feels like you are endangering your health or others by continuing up on the trail at a reasonable pace, we may ask you to turn around, and we can't issue refunds at that point.
  • We have minimum ages for the tours. This is in place for a reason! Please observe these, or contact us with questions.

That's it! We're not trying to scare anyone away. If you're used to hiking, or if you're generally in somewhat decent shape and okay with walking uphill for an hour plus, you'll have a great time on the trips! If you have any questions or concerns about any of this, please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss the trip with you directly!

By clicking below, you certify that you have read and understand the terms above, and that all of the members of your trip are up for the challenge, and old enough for the trip.
