As a native Marylander, upstate New York alum, aspiring Alaskan, and current wanderer, I like to think of Exit Glacier Guides and Seward, AK as my base camp. Climbing, paddling, skiing... Seward has got it all.

Where else would an outdoor education instructor who who studied glacial geology find work? Funny, that you ask. I am currently writing this from my desk where I sit as a geoscience intern at a massive corporation in Houston, TX. As it turns out, not everything is bigger in Texas, most notably the mountains.

After three months of zero topography living, I cannot wait to be boarding that northbound plane to spend another summer guiding with the ladies and gents of Exit Glacier Guides.
